Responsibilities and Daily Life

Technicians plan and implement various swabbing and testing routines to ensure sanitation standards are consistently met. Data tracking and reporting for audits are key aspects.
Another important responsibility involves reviewing labels, conducting raw material assessments, and leading operational staff on documentation and adherence to food safety programs.
Technicians are also expected to monitor, coach, and retrain on food safety when needed, as well as participate actively in cross-functional improvement projects and regulatory audits.
The job occasionally requires assisting CFIA inspectors, and it includes administrative SAP responsibilities related to quality management and documentation.
