Responsibilities & Day-to-Day Tasks
As a Raw Material Buyer, you will identify internal material requirements and source quality raw materials. You will analyze purchasing needs, recommend procurement strategies, and oversee supplier relationships to ensure timely deliveries and cost effectiveness.
Part of your role is to support the production team by mitigating delivery issues and providing proactive solutions. You will also negotiate procurement parameters, manage purchase orders, and maintain proper records in compliance with company standards.
Strong communication is necessary, as you will interact with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders. Your analytical skills will be critical in resolving supply chain challenges efficiently.
The job requires proficiency in both English and French (written and spoken) and experience in a technical manufacturing or aerospace environment. Familiarity with MRP/ERP software, especially EPICOR, is a plus.
